REALTORS®

Membership in the Certified Pre-Owned Homes Realtor network is reserved for individuals who meet the criteria below and at an absolute maximum; only 5% of Realtors nationwide will be permitted membership. The criteria will assure home owners that only Top Realtors in each marketplace will be available to market the single largest investment most people make, their family home.

Qualification Criteria for membership by REALTORS®

  • Must be in the business a minimum of 2 years
  • Must, over the previous 2 years, have had a minimum average of 18 transactions per year
  • Must, over the previous 2 years, have had a minimum average of 12 Listings per year
  • Must be in good standing with their local Real Estate Board and the Provincial Licensing authority
  • Must have Business Insurance on their Automobile
  • Must agree to attend the CPHP orientation program
  • Must agree to promote the CPHP to Sellers, on their website and link the CPHP website
  • Must pay the CPHP certification fee of $199.00 annually.
  • Must Post all Certified Pre-Owned Home listings to the www.Certifiedpreownedhomes.ca website

Home Inspectors

Membership in the Certified Pre-Owned Homes Home Inspector network is reserved for individuals who meet the criteria below and at an absolute maximum; only 5% of Home Inspectors nationwide will be permitted membership. The criteria will assure home owners that only Top Inspectors in each marketplace will be available to homeowners and the single largest investment most people make, their family home.

Qualifications of Home Inspectors

To qualify for membership in the Certified Pre-Owned Home Program™(CPHP) each person must meet or exceed the following criteria. You:

  • Must maintain Errors and Omissions Insurance
  • Must maintain Business Use Insurance on the automobile used for your Home Inspection Business
  • Must have completed a minimum of 400 home inspections over the past two years
  • Must be in Good Standing with the Canadian Association of  Home and Property Inspectors (CAHPI) or a National Certificate Holder
  • Must agree to attend the CPHP initial orientation program within 6 months of membership approval
  • Must provide the Home Seller and Certified Pre-Owned Home Realtor with a copy of the inspection report and recommendations.
  • Must re-inspect after any and all required work has been completed by the Home Seller
  • Must provide the Buyer of the property with a re-inspection upon the request of the buyer or their agent at a fee not to exceed 50% of the normal inspection fee for the area and property type.
  • Must pay the CPHP Application Fee of $199.00 annually
